*The new Distress inks have arrived, and they were worth the wait! $5/ink pad. You don’t have to buy all of them at one time, but if you do...Buy all 12 and save 15%. Colors are: Barn Door, Bundled Sage, Chipped Sapphire, Crushed Olive, Forest Moss, Pumice Stone, Rusty HInge, Spun Sugar, Stormy Sky, Tumbled Glass, Wild Honey, and Victorian Velvet.

UPCOMING EVENTS/CROPS:
Sat., March 13th, CROP TO BENEFIT LOCAL GIRL SCOUTS in Newport
This event will take place from 9am - 5pm at the Masonic Hall, Route 2, in Newport. $20 includes meals and door prizes. Vendors are on site, so even if you don’t want to spend the day creating, come by to check out the latest products and/or shop specials. Sun, March 21st, THIRD ANNUAL CROPPING FOR PAWS in Brewer
This will be held from 9am - 5pm Third Annual Cropping for Paws to benefit the Bangor Humane Society will be held at Jeff’s Catering in Brewer. $25 reserves table space and includes coffee/tea and lunch. There will be various vendors, including us, who’ll be offering workshops and/or make and takes during the day. In addition, there will be a silent auction and a “leave something, take something” table. Reserve your space as soon as possible as this fills up quickly. Sat., April 3rd, KIM YOUNG’S K.I.S.S. CROP in China
Contact Kim (kiss2736@yahoo.com) or me for details and/or to register for this event. This is a fun event as there will be a variety of vendors doing make and takes/demos. There will also be door prizes.

TIPS AND TECHNIQUES: CLEANING METAL STENCILS
Most of the time, a little soap and water clean up the stencils. However, over a period of time, they can become discolored. Wipe rubbing alcohol (I prefer 91%) over the stencil with a soft cloth. Then rinse in water. If necessary, repeat.

CLASSES
If you’re interested in having classes offered at other times or in your home, let me know! What classes would you like offered? Would you like home lessons? How about evening classes? Also, save 15% off purchases made on class day. Unless you’re asked to bring specific items, tools and supplies are provided.

March 17th, (Wed.) 6:30 - 8:30pm DISTINCT IMPRESSIONS MEETING Cost: Free
Do you enjoy creating and sharing ideas/techniques and working in different art forms (quilling to shrink plastic). Then this is the group for you and you don’t have to be an expert, just be willing to share and be willing to “teach” a session at different times. If you’re interested, call me as we have limited table space.
No cost. Each person is responsible for his/her materials/basic paper crafting tools.

March 19th (Fri.) 5pm - 7:30pm SCENERY WITH STAMPSCAPES Cost: $15
Participants will learn different scenery building techniques while using Stampscapes stamps. Brayers, stipple brushes, and foam tips will be just a few of the tools used in conjunction with the stamps. Plan to create at least 3 cards.

March 20th (Sat.) 9:30am - Noon QUILLING SESSION Cost: Free
This is not a class so bring your current quilling project and create away. It’s also an opportunity to network and share ideas with other quillers. Call to reserve space.

March 20th (Sat.) 1pm - 4pm POLYMER CLAY SESSION Cost: Free
This is not a class, but a time to create so bring your current polymer clay project. It’s also an opportunity to network and share ideas with other participants. Call to reserve space.

March 27th (Sat.) 9:30am - Noon SHRINK PLASTIC PINS Cost: $15
Make a variety of jewelry pieces and/or embellishments. Use a variety of shrink plastic types and colors. This class is for all experience levels.

March 27th (Sat.) 1pm - 4pm COVER GIRLS BOOKMAKING SESSION Cost: Free
If you’re interested in learning more about bookmaking/binding and are also willing to share your knowledge(participants take turns teaching/leading a session), this is the group for you. We cover an array of techniques from using the bind-it-all to stitching techniques. You don’t have to be a master/expert, just someone with an interest in learning and sharing. If you wish more details and/or to reserve a space, contact me.

March 29th (Mon.) 6pm - 8:30pm BRAG BOOKS Cost: $15
Make 2 different style “brag” books that can be carried in your purse, put on display, or given as gifts. You’ll do some basic stitching for one mini book and the bind it all for the other. Bring pictures and memorabilia. All other supplies will be provided.
